FENZ said crews are responding to a now contained house fire on Old Coach Road, near Pongakawa School.
Fire crews have been battling a houe fire near Pongakawa since 11:30 this morning.
A FENZ Spokesperson said there are seven appliances, including two water tankers and a fire investigator on the scene.
"It has gone to a second alarm equivalent because of where it is and because of the number of appliances there," they said.
Crews from Pukehina, Te Puke, Maketu, Matata, Greerton are at the scene.
The fire was deemed contained around 1pm.
On Facebook Pukehina Volunteer Fire Brigade said they are the scene of a fully involved house fire on Old Coach Road.
It said six trucks are at the scene near Pongakawa School, and advise people to use caution when passing the scene.
The spokesperson said there are slight traffic delays with the umber of Firetrucks parked along the road.
No injuries have been reported.
